Our Story
Florida Marine Outfitters LLC is a second-generation, family-owned shop. That means the knowledge behind the work didn't start with a trade school course. It came from years of working alongside the generation before, learning how boats are built and how they fail in a saltwater environment like southwest Florida.
We operate out of Englewood, which sits right between Charlotte Harbor and Lemon Bay on the Gulf Coast. The boaters we serve range from fishing guides running shallow-draft skiffs in the backwaters to offshore sportfishing crews heading out past the barrier islands. The variety of vessels we see keeps our skills sharp across hull types, engine configurations, and electrical systems.
How We Approach the Work
Marine repair in southwest Florida isn't generic work. Salt air corrodes fittings faster than most owners expect. Summer lightning hits electronics hard. Sandbars and oyster beds in Charlotte Harbor and the Sarasota Bay system put props and lower units at constant risk. We focus on finding the actual cause of a problem before we start replacing parts.
